HIDDEN JUKEBOX – an interview

With HIDDEN JUKEBOX, Jake Amster and Matthew Amster-Burton, two Seattle music nerds and actual brothers, take listeners on an audio tour of the best albums and songs of the 90s, from R.E.M. to T.L.C., Snoop Dogg to Phish, Pearl Jam to Fiona Apple, and everything in between.

I have been fortunate enough to rope these two 90s music podcasters into an interview. Over the course of our 60 minute discourse, we cover everything you would want to know about these two Seattleites, from their musical influences, to their podcasting experiences, to the stories behind what makes 90s music so great, to the artists most influential for their own music stylings, and, at the end of the interview, I even ask them the hardest question ever: distilling an entire decade down into three songs. Give it a listen to see if they’re up for the task!

Click the link below for the interview in full! And when you’re done, go ahead and make a playlist of all the phatty 90s grooves that we discuss. Keep the music alive!
