How would you handle it if you woke up one morning and found yourself the other gender?

Then, what’s worse, you find out that you can never return to your original gender.

I ask for a whole number of reasons. Anyone who identifies as gender fluid would be welcome to answer as well. How much does one’s gender inform their identity, and in the face of a monumental change, what would it be like?
